Divided Relish Dish, Poole Silver, Bristol Plate 104, Vintage

• Details:  A very Mid Century Modern looking divided serving dish.  This was made by Bristol, a division of Poole Silver Company.  This 2 section dish has a scalloped border and a very pretty handle.  It is described as a Bon Bon dish but it's large enough to serve larger food items.  It is stamped on the bottom:  "E.P.C.A. (which stand for Electro Plated Copper Alloy) Silver Plate, Poole Silver Company, 104".  The number 104 refers to pattern/style or mold number for reference.

• Dimensions:  9.75 inches Wide, 7.5 inches Long and 1.25 inches Tall (not including the handle. With the handle it is 3.0 inches Tall.  Each individual section is approx. 7.5 by 4.25 inches
• Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Condition.  As with all used silver items there are surface scratches visible.  There are no chips, dents or worn/rusted spots.   Could use a good cleaning, however, we don't clean our silver as some prefer the patina of old silver.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show scratches, wear and tear and imperfections. 
  

Poole Silver Company was located in Taunton, Massachusetts.  The company began producing its wares in 1893, made a wide range of silver plate and sterling silverware.  Poole opened their Bristol silver plate division in 1950.  Dating Poole silver plate using the markings on the metal alone is impossible, due to there being no standard marking system used by the company. Determining an exact manufacture date is unlikely, date range has been established  based on this pattern being discontinued and the fact that Poole sold the company to Towle in 1971.
