Hutschenreuther has been making fine porcelain in Selb, Bavaria since 1814. The Dundee is one of their most romantic patterns: large pink roses surrounded by an embossed body with swirled detailing, scalloped borders, and a thick gold rim. It is the kind of china that looks right at a wedding breakfast and equally right at a quiet Sunday table. The pieces carry two stamps — Hutschenreuther Selb LHS Bavaria Germany, and the mark of Pasco, a New York importer active from 1915 to 1970 — which together date this set to approximately 1962.
Twenty pieces for four people, each setting with a dinner plate, bread and butter plate, dessert bowl, cup, and saucer. In excellent vintage condition throughout — no issues found on any piece. We also carry matching serving pieces.
An exceptional gift for a wedding, anniversary, or milestone — or a serious acquisition for a collector of Bavarian fine china.
