Johann Haviland was the Bavarian branch of the renowned Haviland porcelain family, producing fine tableware in Waldershof, Germany through much of the 20th century. Blue Garland was one of their most enduring patterns — understated, quietly traditional, the sort of thing that pairs with everything and ages beautifully. The backstamp dates this piece to the 1970s production era.
