This set draws on the Imari tradition — a Japanese porcelain style traditionally rendered in cobalt blue, red, and gold, named for the port from which it was historically exported. Here, carnations, poppies, and mums are hand-painted in pinks, oranges, and blues, framed by cobalt bands and gold laurel leaves, with gold rims and fully gilded handles. Each piece is signed "Royal" followed by five Japanese characters.
