The porcelain itself — with its lovely embossed, scalloped form — was made by Hass & Czjzek in the Czech Republic, a factory descended from the historic Chodov porcelain works, then shipped blank to the United States to be hand decorated under the Maryland China Co name. Both pieces are marked "Hand Decorated in USA."
