A yellow cottage with a wreath on its white door sits beneath an arch of blooms, with sunflowers and flower pots crowding the steps. A porch swing, a welcome mat and a straw hat add the lived-in charm. A border of white blossoms on deep green frames the scene, finished with a gold rim. The plate is lettered “Cherish your family for they are your treasure” above the porch and “A storehouse of riches… wealth beyond measure” below it.

A thoughtful gift for a new home, a housewarming, or Mother’s Day, and a natural fit for cottage, country, and farmhouse decor. Hang it with a plate hanger as part of a plate wall or gallery wall, or display it on a stand in a kitchen or entry.

Glenna Kurz (1934–2014) was an American artist whose warm, detailed home scenes became a favorite with Bradford Exchange collectors. “Cherish Your Family” opens the ten-plate Welcome Home collection, a series built around the comforts of home and family. The back of the plate marks it as part of a limited edition produced on hard-fire porcelain in a maximum of 95 firing days, and © The Bradford Exchange 1997.
