Details: A beautiful Chinoiserie design featuring a man sitting in nature, smoking a Yen Tsiang, or Opium Pipe. There is gorgeous hand applied enamel and texture on this plate with rich colors of browns, pinks, greens, blues and some yellow. The plate is stamped on the back with Chinese characters identified as Hua Ping Tang Zhi, highly collectible porcelain circa late 1970's - 1990's. This one also shows what looks to be the artist's initials on the back. It is pre-drilled for hanging, or you can use a plate stand to display. Because of the pink tones, this plate would look wonderful among Rose Medallion items. For decoration only, not for food use. This plate is very heavy (2 lbs without packaging), please keep that in mind at check-out.
