A 1970s Crown Royal promotional decanter from Canada — clear glass with cut diamond panels and an oval band, an elegant piece with a royal origin story.

  • Brand: Crown Royal / Seagram's
  • Vintage: circa 1970s
  • Dimensions: 10.0" tall (with stopper) | approx. 4.4" diameter | holds approx. 25 oz
  • Material: Glass
  • Condition: Very good vintage condition. Note: the plastic portion of the stopper is slightly loose and can occasionally stick in the bottle neck — easily resolved. Please review all photos carefully — we cannot accept returns.

A handsome addition to any home bar — whether you fill it with whisky, water, or simply display it as a piece of barware history.

The shape is immediately recognizable: cut diamond panels on the upper and lower halves flank a center band of large ovals, one side etched with a grape bunch, the other with the Crown Royal crest. The base and stopper top both feature a bold starburst pattern. The original stopper is included. Crown Royal has one of the great origin stories in spirits history: in 1939, Samuel Bronfman of Seagram's created it to mark King George VI and Queen Elizabeth's visit to Canada, after testing more than 600 blends. All ten cases bottled for the royal train trip were consumed during the journey, and the whisky wasn't sold outside Canada until the 1960s.
