This Japan import cruet set — marked 53/6 on the base — is the kind of find that doesn't come twice. The porcelain bodies carry a multicolor daisy decal with dotted gold detailing throughout, and the stoppers are particularly elegant in form, their shapes accented in gold to match. At 7.5 inches tall they make a real presence on a table or buffet. We've been unable to find another set in this exact style or pattern, which only adds to their appeal. There is one very small chip on the rim of one cruet, photographed clearly.
A beautiful addition to a collection of Japan porcelain, or a striking pair for a summer table or elegant buffet spread.
