When it rains, it pours — and for over a century, she has been walking through it, umbrella up, salt spilling, utterly unruffled.
This ceramic creamer and sugar set features the iconic Morton Salt Girl in her 1968 iteration — the blue and white design wrapping around both pieces in a clean, graphic band. Made in Japan, these were a promotional collectible issued in the 1980s, and they don't come up often anymore as a matched set in this condition.
The Morton Salt Girl is one of the most recognized figures in American advertising history, first introduced in 1914 and updated every decade or so — a rare brand mascot that has genuinely stood the test of time.
A wonderful addition to a vintage kitchen, a collector's display, or a shelf that tells a story. Also makes a charming and unexpected gift for the person who has everything.
Note: We also carry Morton Salt Girl mugs — contact us if you'd like to build out the set.
