One large pink rose, a scatter of smaller buds, a cream-colored body with just enough Art Deco structure — and condition so good it looks as though it was never used.
Homer Laughlin's Eggshell Georgian shape was one of their most elegant mid-century forms — the name says it all. The body is a warm ivory rather than stark white, and the Rambler Rose pattern decal brings a romantic garden quality that the shape's clean lines keep from being fussy. Gold traces the rim and handle. Backstamped "Eggshell Georgian, Homer Laughlin, U.S.A., H51N5," dating it precisely to 1951. At 8 oz it's a generous pour. Hand wash only to preserve the gold and decal.
A beautiful creamer for a curated breakfast table or a shelf of American mid-century ceramics. Homer Laughlin is best known for Fiesta, but the Eggshell Georgian line is the house at its most refined — a wonderful gift for the serious collector or anyone who loves American-made quality from an era when it really showed.
