A single large pink rose commands the center of this Hutschenreuther covered vegetable bowl — surrounded by lovely embossed swirls, a scalloped border, and a thick gold rim that gives the whole piece a romantic, almost timeless quality. The Dundee is one of those patterns that reads as both formally elegant and warmly inviting, and the deep, generously proportioned bowl makes it as practical as it is beautiful.

The backstamp reads "Hutschenreuther Selb LHS Bavaria Germany" — a mark used between 1939 and 1965 — along with a Pasco importer stamp (Pasco, based in New York, operated from 1915 to 1970). Our research places this piece at 1962, when both marks would have been in concurrent use. Hutschenreuther, founded in 1814 in Hohenberg, Bavaria, is one of Germany's most storied porcelain houses. We carry additional serving pieces and complete dinnerware sets in this pattern.

A beautiful centerpiece for a formal or romantic table, a treasured find for Hutschenreuther or Bavarian porcelain collectors, or an heirloom-quality gift for a milestone occasion.
