This red plastic swizzle stick from Melody Lane in Fort Lauderdale features a striking horse head and horseshoe at the top — the kind of bold, graphic figural design that made mid-century swizzle sticks so collectible. The lettering on the body reads "In Ft. Lauderdale It's Melody Lane," though it requires a close look to make out. The horse detail is excellent. We could find no remaining history of Melody Lane, which makes this piece all the more intriguing — a small artifact from a vanished establishment that was clearly worth remembering.

A great find for the swizzle stick collector, the equestrian barware enthusiast, or anyone drawn to the mystery of places that no longer exist.
