The cigar brand, "American Citizen", was made by George W. Nichols & Co, in Key West, Florida. Also known as Geo. W. Nichols, was founded in the late 19th century, circa 1868–1869, becoming one of the most prominent cigar makers in Key West by 1899. We didn't find much history, only that his son, Henry Nichols, continued the business.
