The bowl sits attached within the tray rather than lifting free, so tray and bowl are always used together. The floral border repeats around the tray's edge, with a more detailed motif worked into the center.

Oneida Silversmiths trace their roots to the Oneida Community, a 19th-century utopian society in upstate New York that began manufacturing silverware commercially in 1880 after disbanding as a religious commune. Park Lane was one of several decorative serving patterns Oneida issued through the 1960s and 70s for the casual-entertaining market.
