The Boopie glass is one of the most immediately recognizable patterns in American mid-century barware: a clean, elegant coupe or sherbet form distinguished by a row of small glass balls running all the way around the rim. Anchor Hocking produced the Berwick pattern in four colorways — crystal clear, amber, forest green, and ruby red — of which the clear set is the most versatile. A collector's note: Boopie is frequently imitated, with similar ball-rim patterns made by Early American Bubble, Candlewick, Teardrop, Lariat, Dalzell, Boule, Nova, and imports from China and Czechoslovakia. This is a confirmed Anchor Hocking Berwick set.

A wonderful set for a Berwick/Boopie collector, a mid-century barware enthusiast, a hostess, or anyone who wants a set of eight matching vintage glasses that arrive ready for a proper party. Suitable for champagne, sparkling wine, or sherbet — and just as at home today mixing a craft cocktail or serving individual dip portions and dessert cups at a party.

Anchor Hocking has been one of America's leading glass manufacturers since 1905, and playful, texture-rich mid-century patterns like Berwick's ball-rim design became some of its most enduring and widely imitated designs.
