This Chodziez porcelain piece does two things at once — a taper candle holder with a surrounding ring that can hold fresh or faux flowers, so the candle seems to bloom from within a posy of roses.

A lovely accent piece for anyone who loves Moss Rose or Polish porcelain — priced to reflect the small chip noted above. Perhaps loveliest with a white taper and a few fresh rose buds tucked in around it.
The Moss Rose pattern — one of the most beloved and widely imitated in European porcelain history — is rendered here with characteristic Polish refinement: one large open rose, semi-opened buds, and a gold scalloped rim that catches the candlelight. This piece is dated to 1972 via the Chodziez backstamp ("Chodziez Rok Zal 1852"), from a factory with roots going back to 1852.
