Fitz and Floyd was founded in Dallas, Texas in 1960 by Pat Fitzpatrick and Bob Floyd, initially as an import company before it began designing and hand-painting its own ceramic giftware. The brand's reputation grew through the 1970s and 80s, and its dinnerware has since been selected by the White House and governments abroad — including a tea service the city of Dallas commissioned for Queen Elizabeth II's 1991 visit.
