- Vintage Calendar Linen Tea Towel, Colorful Birds by Richard Batchelder, Kay Dee Designs, Unused, Kitchen Linens Collector, Kitchen Decor, (Discontinued)
- Made in: Hope Valley, RI, USA
- Brand: Kay Dee
- Vintage: 1971
- This is a beautiful vintage linen, calendar towel, dated 1971, hand printed by Kay Dee. It features a vibrant illustration of colorful birds perched on pine branches, cattails, and a wooden bird house. The bottom right corner has printed "Richard Batchelder", most likely the artist who designed the towel. Although this one is not marked "Kay Dee", we have confirmed it is one of their designs. The towel is crafted from high-quality linen, it even has an opening on top to insert a dowel or string, if you wish to display it with one. There are no signs of laundering, looks like this towel has only been used as decor, colors are still very bright, however, there is a little fading on the letters by the fold line, (May / June), most likely from long term storage. These are machine washable, they get softer the more they're laundered. Ideal for adding a touch of vintage charm to your kitchen decor. Great gift for a calendar towel or vintage linen collector.
