SOLD - Cake Stand, Federal Glass Windsor Button & Cane Clear Pressed Glass Pedestal, USA, Vintage 1970s

The history of Windsor pattern glass is more interesting than it first appears. Federal Glass introduced it in the early 1970s in clear — a geometric all-over pattern of buttons and canes that reads as both traditional and quietly modern. When Federal Glass closed in 1980, Lancaster Colony purchased their molds and Indiana Glass reissued Windsor in color — olive green, amber, carnival, milk glass. The clear originals from Federal are the ones to find, and we believe this to be one of them.

At 11 inches across and 4½ inches tall on its pedestal, this is a proper cake stand — elevated enough to make a real presentation. Equally beautiful with a tower of cookies, a collection of votives, or simply displayed on a kitchen shelf. We carry additional Windsor pieces — search our shop to build out the pattern.
