Details: This is a stunningly beautiful dessert and/or cake serving set! It consists of one cake plate with built-in handles and six dessert plates. They are all individually hand painted with yellow lotus flowers and green leaves, all edged in gold. All pieces have an exquisite beaded gold rim and a gold moriage flower in the center. They are made of very fine porcelain, very translucent. There is a back stamp: "Hand Painted Nippon" and an M within a laurel wreath. The "M" is for "Morimura", this mark was used for Japanese imports and was introduced in 1911 and used until 1921. This eventually became the mark for Noritake. This set will need a lot of packaging to arrive safely, this will be heavy, however, this item qualified for Free Shipping (Continental US only). It would be pure pleasure to serve cake, pie or many other desserts on these beautiful plates. Excellent for a tea party, ladies luncheon or just to indulge yourself in something beautiful.
