Nine inches of hand-blown glass — a deep blue ruffled rim flowering from a bulbous vase body down to a twisted clear foot, the kind of piece that stops people mid-conversation.

The foot carries visible sand inclusions and air bubbles, both characteristic of Murano glasswork where deliberate inclusions are part of the craft. This piece came from the estate of a documented Murano collector, though no label was present when we acquired it — the ruffled edge, twisted foot, and bulbous form are all consistent with Venetian technique of the 1960s and '70s. One available.
A stunning piece for an art glass collector, a design-forward shelf, a mantel, or anywhere you want something that earns a second look every time.
Sand and controlled air-bubble inclusions have long been used by Murano glassmakers as a deliberate decorative device rather than a flaw — a technique that plays with light and texture in ways smooth, clear glass cannot, and one of many small signatures that separate genuine Venetian glasswork from later mass-produced imitations.
