Details: This beautiful bread server is Waverly Ceramic, it was issued shortly after Waverly introduced their Garden Room Cottage Collection Fabrics. There were so many beautiful floral patterns in that collection, some were issued in dinnerware and kitchenware sets. This is the "Field of Flowers" pattern which features purple/lilac and peach flowers on a bright yellow background. This bread server is bordered with a lilac rope pattern with a hand painted "basket weave" pattern on the outside. We acquired this piece at an Estate Sale, however, we also own, (and still use), the matching placemats since the late 1980's, so we are estimating the date on the rest of the kitchenware to be around the same time. This is a heavy piece, please keep that in mind at check-out. This server is very versatile, works great as a bread or crackers tray, it's large enough for asparagus and of course, celery, carrots and bread sticks. It could serve as a small appetizers tray as well. There is a condition issue, please see Condition below. This pattern is beautiful for Spring and Summer! It is festive enough for a Mother's Day setting, Tea Party or any festive occasion that calls for bright, beautiful florals. We also carry the matching canister set.
Condition: Vintage - Used. Good Vintage Condition. There is a small chip on the rim and a little crazing. Otherwise, looks very good, there are no cracks, or scratches. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.
