A treasury cloaked in deep burgundy velvet, capped with a gleaming, ornately embossed silverplate lid — compact enough for a nightstand or vanity, yet grand enough to hold whatever you tuck inside. At its center, a blank cartouche waits for a personal monogram.

The lid is almost entirely covered by an ornate, embossed silverplate design set slightly into the surface, with just a thin edge of velvet framing it at the border. At its center sits a small rectangular cartouche, left blank and ready for monogramming.
Perfect for storing jewelry, a lovely presentation box for gifting a special piece, or a decorative accent for the vanity or dressing table.
Blank cartouche boxes like this one were a popular vanity accessory through the mid-20th century, designed so a jeweler or gift-giver could later have the center engraved with initials or a monogram. Unmarked silverplate pieces such as this were often produced by smaller regional workshops, prized less for a maker's name than for the quality of their embossing and finish.
