Details: This gorgeous Florentine musical jewelry box features a very intricate, 3D border design on all sides. On the lid is an oval portrait medallion, featuring a 17th century portrait of a lady and her gentleman suitor, the rest of the piece is gilded. The inside is lined with red velvet to keep your jewelry free from scratches. There are two levels, a removable tray affords more storage underneath, perfect for organizing vanity accessories and treasured keepsakes. It rests on four little rounded wood "feet". The music is "Somewhere My Love" ('Lara's Theme' from the movie Dr. Zhivago). On the bottom is the wind-up key, to the working musical movement from Japan. The sound is acceptable, the tune is recognizable but sounds "off" to us. A timeless piece with refined beauty and practical storage.
How to Use: Besides being a great collectible, it's certainly one to admire and display proudly on your bedroom dresser, vanity table, or as decor on a living room shelf or side table.

Condition: Vintage - Used. Very Good Condition. There is wear, mostly on the lid. Lots of paint marks on the bottom of the removable tray, we don't believe this area was ever "finished" since it would not be seen. There signs of age and use as acceptable. Regarding the sound, the tune is easily recognizable but sounds "off" to us. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.
