The box is rectangular, the lid is removable (no hinges), the interior is lined with red velvet lined, providing a protective space for your jewelry. There are four felt dots on the bottom to protect your furniture. There's also a sticker that reads: Kimberly Graphic Art Tile, California". Great for storage and as decor on a shelf, on a desk.
