A sunburst on the lid, fine ridges and pleats on the base, and the cool, brilliant weight of mid-century American crystal in your hands.
This Colony Glass cigarette box in the Radiant Crystal pattern — a brand of Indiana Glass — has an intricate sunburst design on the lid with small stars within the larger rays, and a finely pleated base that catches light beautifully. Originally divided to hold two cigarette packs, it works today as a jewelry box, trinket box, or card holder (loose playing cards fit; standard boxed decks do not — tested and noted). Small chips on some corners are smooth and present no sharp edges — noted and photographed. Otherwise no scratches or cracks.
A lovely piece for the vintage glass collector, the tobacciana enthusiast, or anyone who appreciates the elegance of mid-century American glassware.
