Some patterns earn their place on the table for decades — Desert Rose is one of them.

Introduced in 1941 and hand-painted on embossed earthenware, the Desert Rose pattern became one of the most beloved dinnerware lines ever made in America. This single cereal bowl, dated 1973, is marked Made in California by the original Gladding McBean / Interpace company — earlier and more collectible than later England-made pieces. The warm off-white clay body with its signature pink rose and green leaf motif is as charming at the breakfast table as it is at a spring brunch.

A wonderful replacement if you've lost one from your set, or a sweet addition as a small serving bowl for nuts, olives, or condiments. A thoughtful gift for the Franciscan collector or the home cook who appreciates a storied table.
