- Details: This is a colorful "nappy", shallow bowl, in clear glass with a flashed fruit pattern called Della Robbia. Although it is from the Depression Era, it is not considered Depression Glass. The pattern consists of embossed fruits like Apples, Pears, and Grapes in red and yellow flashed coloring all around the border and center. This is the lighter color flashing, typical of pieces issued in the 20's and early 30's, (the darkers colors were issued later). A nappy was used mostly for elegantly serving nuts, or small desserts, including fruits, sometimes in syrup, which would explain the pour spout on this one. The loop handle was used for passing the dish around and pouring the syrup or sauce onto your small fruit bowl. An elegant addition to your table, perfect for spring and summertime entertaining. This piece is heavy for its size, please keep that in mind at check-out.
