Australian-born Anne Geddes (born 1956) began specializing in baby photography after photographs of her daughters on a family Christmas card proved so popular that friends asked for more. Her work became a publishing phenomenon in the late 1990s: in 1997, the year this book was published, Cedco Publishing of California sold more than 1.8 million calendars and datebooks bearing her photography.
