Underground Posters was started by Frank Pick in 1908 in London England.  His idea was to use bright, beautiful art to make riding the train more fun.  The company became a prominent publisher of pop culture, movie, and rock music memorabilia posters and postcards. The vintage rock merchandising boom ran through the 1970s and 80s, Underground Posters legally licensed imagery from major record labels, producing postcards for classic rock bands that were sold widely in UK music shops, gift stores, and tourist stalls. They produced rock postcard lines, (most use a prefix catalog numbers like this "U" series).
