Details: Such a cute basket!! This basket is made of very strong metal wire covered with plasticized paint, and has the cutest hand applied pears and leaves all around. The metal is an off-white, almost cream color, and the pears are yellow with shades of green and orange, just like a ripe pear would look! This is rustic, there are several areas with missing paint, and a little bit of rust, but that's what makes it so unique and a perfect vintage addition. Unfortunately it is unmarked, but based on the style and amount of wear, we're thinking it could go back to as late as the 1940's, but we are not experts, so please purchase this basket because you love its rustic beauty and handmade charm, not because of any pedigree it may, or may not have. Perfect for storage or decor, gorgeous with fruits on your kitchen counter. Perfect in a Country, Farmhouse, French Country or Shabby Chic home.
