Four bells, four roses, four individual pieces — and a set that has stayed together for over seventy years.
This is a complete set of four stackable porcelain Arnart Imports pieces with matching holder/carrier, in the Anniversary Bells pattern — white wedding bells and pink roses tied with a pink bow, gold-rimmed, with hand-painted brushed gold notches. Five pieces total. Circa 1953. One set available.
The set is particularly desirable to collectors for its documentation: all four pieces carry the stamped Arnart Royal Crown mark registered April 30, 1953, and all but one retain their original Arnart paper labels from that same year — making this a precisely datable, well-preserved example of early Arnart Imports production. The stamping on the base reads: Arnart Anniversary Bells 55/1869. The Crown and A's mark was replaced when Arnart rebranded as 5th Avenue in 1957 and switched to removable stickers — pieces with the original stamped mark and paper labels intact are the ones collectors seek.
The design itself is quintessentially mid-century: delicate, celebratory, and completely of its moment — the kind of porcelain giftware that was placed on tables at golden anniversary parties across America in the 1950s, each guest with their own individual piece. The holder/carrier keeps them perfectly stacked and presented. One minor chip on one piece; all others pristine.
Today they work beautifully as individual ring dishes, tea bag holders, salt cellars, desk trays, or a collected display. The notch that gives each piece its distinctive shape rests a tea bag perfectly — a detail that makes the whole set as useful at a tea table as it is decorative on a shelf. The complete set with original holder is a rare find intact.
A wonderful gift for a porcelain collector, an Arnart Imports enthusiast, a lover of mid-century giftware, or anyone celebrating a 50th anniversary in genuine vintage style.
