There is something quietly commanding about a piece that has been in continuous production since 1774. This Wedgwood Blue Jasperware ashtray, dated 1964 and made in England, carries that history effortlessly.
The trefoil club shape sets it apart from the round Jasperware ashtrays — a more unusual find for collectors. Three neoclassical Greek mythology figures grace the center, framed by the signature border of grape clusters and trailing vines. The powdery blue is the most coveted of all Jasperware colorways, and this piece wears it beautifully.
While made as a single-use ashtray — elegant enough to give each card player their own — collectors today display these as trinket dishes, shelf accents, or grouped in small galleries with other Jasperware pieces.
