  • Details:  This is a clear glass souvenir ashtray from The Palace Club Casino in Reno Nevada.  The ashtray features the blue and yellow logo from 1964, after the club was refurbished.  The club's history goes back to 1888, when it was known as The Palace Cigar Store.  When Nevada legalized gambling in 1931, they were one of the first to offer it.  In January of 1934, the name was changed to The Palace Bar, and in 1935 they opened as a full fledged casino, The Palace Club.  In 1979 the family sold it to Harrah's, who tore it down.  Great piece of Nevada's gaming history, tourist industry memorabilia, and a great collector's item.
