- Details: This is a very rare find! Vintage ashtray from the Golden Gate Casino in green glass with PINK pyro glaze letters. Originally named The Miller Hotel, it is the oldest hotel on Fremont St. In 1931, they expanded the hotel and re-named it, Sal Sagev (which is Las Vegas spelled backwards). It wasn't until 1955, that the Golden Gate Casino, opened on the ground floor of the hotel. Finally, 1974, the entire property, hotel and casino, were renamed as the Golden Gate Hotel and Casino. Great piece of Nevada's gaming history, tourist industry memorabilia, and a great collector's item.
