A fisherman, a fresh catch, and the beer that earned it.

Falls City Beer was a Louisville institution — and this 1961 full-page color ad is one of the harder pieces to find. A plaid-shirted fisherman holds his catch in one hand and a beer can in the other, framed by the original Falls City logo that ran from the brand's founding in 1905 until 1978. The tagline: "Got to be Good... to be the Popular one!" It's breweriana at its best — regional, specific, and full of the particular pride of a brand that knew its people. The paper has mellowed with age but remains in very good condition, with just one small corner tear.

An exceptional gift for breweriana collectors, fishing enthusiasts, or anyone with a connection to Louisville and Kentucky history. Rare and genuinely worth having.
