- Made in USA
- Antique: circa 1910’s
- Details: This is a very old cigar box label from Old Hickory Brand Cigars. It is a lithography done by Consolidated Lithographing Corporation in Brooklyn, New York. It features our 7th President, Andrew Jackson, who served our country for many years he served as President from 1829 -1837. It is not a coincidence that the cigar is called “Old Hickory” and features Mr. Jackson as that was his nickname. His soldiers began referring to their commander as “Hickory” because of his toughness, and Jackson became known as “Old Hickory. It also has the signature of Andrew Jackson bordered by what look to be Hickory tree leaves and hickory nuts. After much research we’ve not been able to confirm that the cigar brand’s manufacturer was the Cuban Cigar Co, located at 409 Woodland Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio but research points to that. This label is wonderfully glossy, heavily embossed and gilded, we’ve tried to show this in the PICTURES because all this makes it even nicer as a collector’s item. Really nice unused condition, suitable for framing, and recommended to maintain this condition.
