- Details: This ashtray needs no introduction, it is the timeless pattern from Wedgwood called Jasperware. Jasperware was made in several colors including Cobalt Blue, Lavender, Green and perhaps others, this powdery blue is the most popular with collectors. The white relief decoration on this piece, (looks like a cameo), is of Aurora Goddess of the Dawn from Greek Mythology. She was the third child of Hyperion and drives a two-horse chariot. The ashtray border is decorated with grape vines with grape clusters also in white relief. Never put this in the dishwasher, hand wash only. This is a cigarette ashtray and has 3 slots. This piece is stamped on the back: “Wedgwood, Made in England, 59”. For non-smokers, these little dishes can be useful for keys, coins, even on your vanity for rings and earrings. They are collected by many and make pretty blue and white decor. These look lovely when several are displayed together on a wall or shelf. - Condition: Vintage Used. Very Good Condition. There are no chips, scratches or any other imperfections on this piece. However, looks like this piece had small felt pads glued to the back, they have been removed but can easily be replaced. Also, a few stains are visible, may come off with a good cleaning but we make no guarantees. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can’t accept returns.
