- Details: We have struggled to find the brand and date of this piece, although it is obviously vintage, we have found similar items but not exact. We’ve seen it listed as depression glass but were not able to find this pattern in any of our books or a reputable source online. Nonetheless, it’s a beautiful oval dish, typically called a relish dish. The pattern is made up of an oyster bed (dots on the bottom) surrounded by big palm fronds/ferns and cut glass rays pointing towards the border. If anyone can help us identify this pattern, we would appreciate it very much. This is a serving dish, originally called a relish or celery dish but we imagine it being used for asparagus, corn, or even nuts, olives, candy, or any other side dishes, even for banana splits, or bananas foster! Also great as a catch-all by the door or on a dresser.
