- Pattern: English Hobnail
- Made in USA
- Vintage: 1920’s – 1984
- Details: A very pretty candy dish or bon bon dish with a loop (finger) handle in the very popular Milk Glass English Hobnail pattern (some call this a “Sawtooth” pattern), made by Westmoreland. Westmoreland is known for high quality milk glass and this dish is no exception. The company introduced this pattern in the 1920’s during the depression era and it proved so popular that they continued to manufacture it until the company closed in 1984, it was their longest running pattern and largest pattern line. Although other glass manufacturers called some of their patterns “Hobnail”, none are exactly like the Westmoreland’s “English Hobnail”. We think this dish would make a lovely hostess gift filled with candies or chocolates. It’s perfect for all seasons, but our favorite would be as part of a Spring or Winter decor or really nice within a Blue and White setting.
