- Pattern: Geisha Girl
- Made in Japan
- Vintage: 1940’s – 1950’s
- Details: A gorgeous bowl with so much detail and workmanship! This is the very famous Geisha Girl Ware (aka Kimono Lady Ware). There are many different “Geisha Girl” patterns mostly made for the Japanese export market. All pieces have Geishas wearing bright, colorful kimonos but some patterns include umbrellas, others have little children with them, others show stairs, others fences, some have rust colored borders, others green, there is a lot of variety in the patterns and many people like to mix and match among the different patterns. This bowl has Geishas with umbrellas, very pretty moriage flowers all around and a few gold details. It is made of a fine, very translucent, porcelain with a pretty, almost shell-like scalloped border. HAND WASH. Unfortunately there is no maker’s mark so we can’t tell you much beyond the description. The detail on these pieces are enough to turn anyone into a collector. Great gift or home decor!
- Material: Porcelain
