- Pattern: Moriage Floral
- Made in Japan
- Vintage: 1940’s
- Details: This is a very nice looking teapot with lots of hand painted moriage flowers, yellow leaves and lattice work on a high shine, deep brown glaze. The teapot is an octagon, (eight sides) with an art-deco style handle. There are gold accents as part of the design as well as on the rims, lid and finial. These Japanese redware pieces were made from red clay, you can see some of the red clay peeking out at the bottom. The bottom has an embossing, on the clay simply reads: “JAPAN”. Unfortunately we were unable to find information on the manufacturer so we’re unable to tell you much beyond the description. Great gift for a tea lover, redware collector or oriental collector.
- Materials: Ceramic
- Dimension: 6.75 inches Tall (including lid), approx. 8.75 inches Wide (from spout to handle), top opening is 2.75 inches in Diameter
- Condition: Vintage – Used. Very Good Condition. As with all hand made pottery there are always imperfections, we’ve photographed everything we thought would be of concern. The gold is hand painted so lines are not all straight. Also, there’s a little crazing on the bottom. Otherwise, there are no cracks, chips, or scratches on this piece. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can’t accept returns. Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new. Every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and imperfections.
