• Details:  This is a very elegant set of Mid Century Modern crystal water goblets. The pattern is called "Rain" and features several hand cut slash marks/lines on the sides of the bowl.  The elegance is in their simplicity, the cuts simulate falling rain and that's all there is, beautiful, simple glass.  These were part of Javit's Victoria Park Crystal Collection glasses, all with a very simple Mid Century Modern designs and different cut patterns.  Although these are water glasses, they also make great wine glasses, double duty saves on storage space.  Perfect set for today's minimalist decor and of course for any Mid Century Modern styled home!

Javit Badash Inc. was founded by Jack Badash in 1945.  Jack started the company with only $1,800, his father's entire life savings.  Over the next 35 years, the business grew and he became known for his American made, hand-cut and machine-cut tumblers, stemware, gifts, and vases.  They had operations in Cumberland, MD and Jane Lew WV, and at it's peak, Javit was the largest U.S. firm producing hand-cut and machine cut glassware.  In 1980, Jack Badash sold the company and tried retirement, but his energy and creativity did not allow him to sit idle, so he started yet another company called Jack Badash Inc., today, we know it as "Badash Crystal".  This new company began with hand-cut tumblers and grew to include Russian crystal imports. In 1987 Jack’s son, Mark Badash, joined Badash Crystal.  Jack Badash passed away on April 2011, at the age of 92, his son Mark now runs the company.
