The oval counterpart to the round bowl — same rich Vintage 6701 pattern, same elegant restraint: blue-green grape leaves, purple grape clusters, and a platinum rim that elevates the whole composition. A deeper, more generous form that works beautifully as a vegetable dish, a pasta bowl, or the centerpiece of a buffet spread.
The Vintage 6701 pattern was an exclusive design created for Max Schoenfeld, a prominent California distributor of fine china and pottery who secured exclusive rights to certain designs for the Los Angeles market; those pieces were marked with his initials MS on the backstamp. Mid-century Japanese fine china at this quality level is increasingly hard to find intact — and we have two of these in stock. We also carry complete place settings in this pattern.
Perfect for the collector building a set, the entertainer who wants something beautiful and versatile, or as a thoughtful gift for someone who appreciates the craftsmanship of mid-century tableware.
