• Details:  A very hard to find label for Mt Shasta Brand California Pears!  The simple colors of yellow and blue make the white mountain really stand out, surrounded by pines and other vegetation.  A beautiful and highly detailed lithograph of this mountain, Mount Shasta is a historic and very important mountain.   These are old unused factory stock labels, in excellent condition, from the James Mills Growers in Hamilton City, Calif, framing is recommended to maintain this condition.   Collecting labels has become a very popular hobby, mainly because of the many beautiful and unique images/artwork that can be found.  If this is your hobby, we have lots more labels available, please feel free to browse.

Mount Shasta is located in northern California.  It is a very distinctive mountain because it is one of the world’s preeminent sacred mountains. It is recognized as an eligible Native American cultural and cosmological property on the National Register of Historic Places.  Artifacts found in the surrounding area conservatively suggest at least 11,000 years of human habitation, designating this region as one of the longest-occupied areas of North America.  On a clear day, Mount Shasta can be seen from over 140 miles away.   It is actually a stratovolcano, (it is dormant), and it rises to an altitude of 14,179 feet.  The last time it erupted was in 1786.
