- Vintage Thailand Temple Guards, Set of Two Hand Carved Wood Faces Art Wall Plaques, Teak Wood, Wall Decor, Mythology Figures, Thai Culture, Home Decor, Boho, Tropical, Rustic, Tiki Island Decor
- Made in Thailand
- Vintage: circa 1960's - 1970's
- Details: These carved wood faces are mythological temple guards. They are Teak wood, hand carved in Thailand. They look like Thai temple guards, perhaps Yaksha the temple guard, or Ramakien the Warrior. Traditional Thai decor, suitable for any Boho, Tropical, Rustic, Tiki Island style decor. These are ready to hang, they have a large hole on back for a hook or nail. One like this is said to be in a scene from "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest". The scene when the crew first meets Tia Dalma in her shack, and Jack the Monkey is seen holding onto the toes of black leather boots, with the plaque visible behind him. We will have to watch the movie again to confirm. These plaques embody the spiritual and cultural richness of Thailand, they are in good vintage condition, see Condition below for details. These are teak wood, they will be heavy, please keep that in mind at check-out. Perfect as wall art / wall decor.
