Shorter and wider than the coffee cup — the teacup version of Annette has a little more presence in the hand, a little more room for the pattern to breathe. Soft pinks, blues, and greens in a gentle floral arrangement, an embossed brushed border running the rim of both cup and saucer, gold at the edges. Quiet and genuinely lovely.

Theodore Haviland opened his porcelain factory in New Castle, Pennsylvania in 1936, carrying forward a family tradition that had spanned four generations and moved between Limoges, New York, and beyond. The backstamp — "Theodore Haviland New York, Made in America" — dates this piece to between 1937 and 1956. The Annette pattern came in three sizes: coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. We carry both the coffee and teacup sizes — contact us if you'd like both pairs together.

A beautiful gift for a Haviland collector or anyone who loves the ritual of tea. Lovely for Mother's Day, a spring gathering, a baby shower, or a birthday. Hand wash recommended.
