Details: Highly Collectible Coca Cola Racing Checkered soup plates (this shape is called a soup plate), are part of a large collection by Gibson that includes mugs, drinking glasses, dinner plates, cereal bowls, etc. This pattern always says Summer and Picnics to us! Such a happy, vibrant pattern with the red checks all along the rim and black checks on the inner border. Between the checkered pattern is the traditional "Coca Cola" cursive logo in red. They are back stamped with the Gibson blue logo and read: "Gibson Housewares, Microwave and Dishwasher Safe, China".
