  • Details:  This is a wonderful set of milk glass with a long history.  The set consists of a large punch bowl and 11 cups.  McKee began the Concord pattern production in the 1950's and was produced in Clear, Milk Glass and with Ruby Flashing. The pattern is really intricate and features a hobstar and arches all around the piece. The punch bowl can also be used with a stand, which is available separately online, (we do not carry the stand), it's a wonderful size and can be used separately for salads or even filled with ice to cool drinks for Summer party, a baby or bridal shower.  The cups can be used for coffee, tea, soup or as small dessert cups too.  This punch bowl set is in incredible condition even after all these years, well cared for.  A great gift for a milk glass collector, or for your own party use or display.

McKee Glass has a long history going back to S. McKee & Company in 1834 Pittsburg, PA.  The McKee Glass Company that made this milk glass was founded in Jeannette, PA by McKee Glasbak in 1907.  McKee made pressed glass, jadeite, white milk glass, black glass and of course, their name sake, Glasbake, made from 1917 to 1953.  McKee went through several partnerships and mergers.  In 1951, McKee became a division of the Thatcher Glass Manufacturing Company and renamed McKee Division of Thatcher Glass Company.  In 1961, Thatcher sold the company to another glass manufacturer, Jeannette Glass Co.  Unfortunately Jeannette glass closed in 1983.
